Tucked among leafy surrounds about a kay outside Grabouw, Tiggywinkle Cottage take the form of one simple, yet stylish cottage set near the banks of the Klip River.
Afsaal sleeps four, with a large main bedroom with King bed, and a second with bunks. The bathroom is shared. If you need to pack in another two kids, there’s space in the mezzanine loft.
A covered patio, a braai area and a lovely garden setting await you outside, with the river a mre 30m away.
Your host's pool is at your disposal, as are pony rides for the kids, plenty in the way of nearby nature (walking, mountain biking), and Grabouw within easy walking distance.
Lovely gardens, well-appointed accommodation, close to home, friendly service, Tiggywinkle has all the essential ingredients for an easy breakout from the Mother City.
"What a hidden gem! It was better than expected. Our host, Brenda, was very welcoming. The cottage is tastefully decorated and well appointed. The setting was stunning and so peaceful. Our kids had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and interacting with the animals. This was the perfect weekend getaway from city living."

"We had the most amazing two day stay in the Afsaal Cottage - it is so beautiful there and the cottage has everything you need, so thoughtfully done, with lovely little things like Easter Eggs on our pillows, and outdoor blankets for sitting on the verandah on cool evenings - so nice. Our daughter just loved the gorgeous dogs and horses close by and we had fun visiting our friends staying in the Rustic Cabin too. It was too cold to swim but the pool looked great! Brenda was so welcoming and lovely - this is one of the nicest places we have stayed and we would definitely recommend it, and we will stay there again for sure. It really exceeded all our expectations, and that is always awesome!"

"A wonderful piece of farm heaven to take a break from the city. The cottage (Afsaal) is beautifully done and well-equipped. We appreciated the shaded patio and the private lawn. Our toddler loved following the chickens around the farm and saying hi to the horses and dogs. Bonus is the use of the pool to cool off. We will definitely be back."
