Tucked away on a leafy back lane on Knysna's Leisure Isle, Beletage (meaning beautiful space) is just that. Decorated in a mix of contemporary style with a touch of old-world France, you're surrounded by a good load of aesthetically pleasing elements here, from the getaway itself to the general surrounds.
Leisure Isle is one of Knysna’s hidden gems, reached by a long causeway off the road to the Knysna Heads, this little island is home to the Steenbok Nature Reserve as well as a gorgeous stretch of lagoon frontage and beach, with views straight across towards the Knysna heads. While Beletage may not sport a view of the , you’re still a stone’s throw, or a bike ride from the lagoon and beach, not to mention a great spread of coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
Right, looking at the accommodation, Beletage consists of two apartments and a garden cottage. The apartments sleep two guests and have queen beds, ensuite bathrooms and equipped kitchenettes. They both have their own private entrances and outside braai areas. One apartment is on the upper story and has a balcony, which the second is on ground level. The ground floor apartment is dog-friendly by request.
Heading on to the Garden Cottage, this unit offers plenty of privacy and sleeps four guests. The main bedroom is ensuite, while the living and dining area are open plan to a fully equipped kitchen. There’s a fantastic wooden deck and braai area leading off the leaving room, shaded by a large avo tree.
Common to the apartments and the garden cottage are free WiFi and DSTV and off-street parking.
