Rooted at the edge of the Knysna Lagoon is where you will find Monks Holiday Chalets and Caravan Park. If you are a keen camper, then Monks is your go-to holiday spot. Not only is it easy on the pocket, thanks to the boom of holiday home rentals, Monks is also one of the only camp sites left in Knysna.
Aside from the number of exciting activies on offer in the Knysna area, Monks boasts a sparkling blue swimming pool, rolling green lawns where you can enjoy a game of Frisbee or badminton, a number of walkways along the lagoon, and of course the lagoon itslef which offer a ton of water fun.
Your accommodation options include 22 camping/caravan sites nestled beneath the shade of the trees, each with its own electrical point, braai facilities and acces to the communal ablution blocks. If you prefer to camp in style, you can take your pick of one of the one, two or three bedroom chalets, each with separate bathrooms and open plan kitchens (which are fully equipped). For something a little different, Monks also offers free standing caravans (with shared ablutions) as well as caravans attached to wooden cabins. These caravans have their own braai areas and bathroom facilities.
Monks is an easy 2 minute walk from Knysna's Main Road so its a pretty convenient place to set up camp.
