Budget Getaways Review
Tucked away off a quiet street in Montagu village, this character-packed, thatched getaway is the idyllic bolthole to head back to after a long day out exploring the gorgeous surrounds.
Apart from its central location, within an easy stroll down to the nearby restaurants, galleries and shops, Anchorage Inn offers two well-appointed, free-standing cottages, with off-street parking and plenty of privacy.
The cottages, namely Nguni and Indlovu, sleep three and two respectively- with Nguni having an additional single bed for a teenager (we say teenager, as no kids under 12 are permitted). Both are open plan, Nguni having the King bed while Indlovu has two, three-quarter beds.
Common to both cottages are equipped kitchenettes, private bathrooms (Nguni has a bath and shower, Indlovu has a large shower only), dining areas as well as private patio’s with braais. There are TV’s and WiFi in each cottage.
Anchorage Inn serves a hearty country breakfast, either in the main dining area or in your cottage - be sure to enquire about breakfast in advance.
A getaway that puts everything at your fingertips, with plenty of charm and comfort to boot. Without doubt a solid option for your next Montagu visit.
