Budget Getaways Review
Our Glamping tents have all the comforts for an enjoyable stay. The six self-catering tents are situated in a small Indigenous forest on Fernhill Guest Farm. Each tent has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with spa-bath overlooking the forest. Double Tented Treehouse - The double tents are on one level with the kitchenette unit inside the tent and a braai (Charcoal only) outside on the deck with seating. The Kitchenette is equipped with Smal Fridge, Microwave, Induction cooker, all cutlery, crockery & Cooking Utensils. Each tent also has an Electric blanket, Fan, Heater ad coffee station in the tent with a full bathroom with spa bath and shower over bath. Family Tented Treehouse - The Family tent is on three levels with an open deck with seating on the lowest level, the room below the deck has bunk beds and the kitchenette. The Kitchenette is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, induction cooker, all cutlery, crockery & cooking utensils. The tent with the main bedroom is upstairs with the Kingsize bed and coffee station. Each tent also has an Electric blanket, Fan, Heater ad coffee station in the tent with a full bathroom with spa bath and shower over bath. The braai area (Charcoal only) is next to the tent. Please note that this tent has steep stairs and not recommended for small children. Tented Treehouse with Sleeper Couch- The main tent upstairs has a Kingsize bed and sleeper couch with coffee station and seating on the deck. The Kitchenette is under the tent with Microwave, Induction Cooker and Full Fridge Freezer as well as a dining area. The kitchenette has all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Each tent also has an Electric blanket, Fan, Heater ad coffee station in the tent with a full bathroom with spa bath and shower over bath. The braai area (Charcoal only) is next to the tent. This is truly a romantic getaway, the decks outside are the perfect spot to take in all the forest sounds around you.
Area Information
Life slows down as you turn onto Highway West, a beautiful country road, leading you to Fernhill Guest Farm, which is situated just outside Knysna in the beautiful area of Rheenendal. This area is known for its magical ancient forests, cycling and hiking trails, and cute eateries like the Famous Tottie's Farm Kitchen, where every meal is an occasion. Fernhill is a mere 15 minute drive to Knysna and the beautiful beach at Buffalo Bay, while only being 20 minutes away from Sedgefield, with its ever popular Saturday Wild Oats Market, so you will be spoiled for choice when looking for places to visit.
